Wynwood Plaza, a mixed-used $450 million dollar development when completed, had a groundbreaking ceremony on March 3, 2023.
Developers obtained a $215M construction loan back in January and construction is on its way.
The Wynwood Plaza will include 509 luxury rental apartments, a dining and retail component of 32,000 square feet as well as an office tower with 266,000 square feet, fitness club, cafe, bar lounge, conference rooms and rooftop.
"At once energetic and laidback, sophisticated and electric, this one million square foot mixed-use campus, developed by L&L Holding Company and Oak Row Equities, is deliberately designed to encourage creativity, expression, wellness, and sustainability."
At the center of Wynwood Plaza lies the half-acre, lushly landscaped public plaza that is set to be one of the largest in the entire Miami-Dade County. This design of this promenade is being overseen by James Corner Field Operations, the firm behind Miami's Underline and New York's Highline. Alongside the centerpiece plaza, there will be a beautiful palm-tree lined promenade.
The triple Class A office building has already inked deals with couple of tenants. Claure Group, helmed by Marcelo Claure, will occupy the entire eighth floor or 25,400. Weitz & Luxenberg, The national law firm Weitz & Luxenberg will open its first Miami office on the second floor.
The Residences at The Wynwood Plaza will offer studios, one bedroom, and two bedroom rental apartments boasting floor-to-ceiling windows. Tenants of these luxury apartments will be able to enjoy four activated rooftops with a sports court, two outdoor pools with showers, a sauna, hot tub and cold plunge pool, and a glass atrium with co-working spaces, private phone rooms, game lounge, and fitness center.
Developers are L&L Holding Company and Oak Row Equities with project partner Shorenstein Properties and co-investor Claure Group.
Architect is Gensler. Completion is slated for 2025.
Wynwood, the cultural, artistic and gastronomic hub keeps getting better and better. It is attracting some of the biggest and brightest names in business, tech, art, gastronomy and hospitality.
