Miami Grand Prix
The newest and maybe most exciting event to join the Magic City social calendar is the Miami Grand Prix. Formula 1 is the most popular sport in the world and chose Miami as the site for its newest race weekend, making it 1 of only 21 cities to host a race. Debuting this May, the Miami Grand Prix will bring the eyes of the whole world to the newly built Miami Autodrome for a weekend to remember. While the racing will be exciting the glitz and glamour that follows Formula 1 is just as exciting and where else do glitz and glam shine then in the Magic City!
Art Basel Miami
The Magic City plays host to the premier art show in the world in Art Basel. The best and brightest artist and gallerist on the planet make Miami their home the first weekend of December to display the present and future of the art world. Art Basel has grown into a citywide celebration with countless galleries popping up throughout the city, a burgeoning music line up and some of the most glamours parties the Magic City has to offer.
Miami International Boat Show
When the rest of the country is covered in snow, the crystal-clear waters of Biscayne Bay host one of the most prominent boat and yacht shows. Since 1969 the crème de la crème of the boating industry displays their wares to visitors from around the world. Miami and mega yacht are a match made in heaven.
South Beach Wine and Food Festival
Once a year at the end of February, the shores of South Beach host one of the most decadent weekends the Magic City has to offer. The Food Network and the Cooking Channel join forces to bring South Beach Wine and Food Festival®, which allow visitors to indulge in the best and innovative food and drinks from the brightest culinary stars in the world.
Miami Swim Week
New York, Paris and Milan have their fashion weeks, so it would only be fitting that Miami host the worlds top swimwear fashion week. Summer officially begins in mid-July with Miami Swim Week as every major swimwear designer showcases the seasons new trends to the world.
Miami Open
Tennis is a truly international sport, and the Magic City has hosted one of the most important tournaments since 1985. Outside of the 5 majors, the Miami Open is considered the most one important tournaments on the tennis calendar and attracts massive star power on and off the court. Now staged at the beautiful grounds of Hard Rock Stadium, the Miami Open is one of the cities oldest and most fun events.
